Let me speak on behalf of the entire core forum population and say that the old LSI was a million times better than this one.

Nobody ever notcied there was a logo anyways, and nobody gives a shit about it. The improvements sounded good originally and I gave the new LSI a shot, but at some point I just have to concede and admit that it sucks. Hell, half the features don't work, nothing ever gets fixed.

You should swallow your pride Ray and just change everything back to a few months ago.

From fact that you put your message in the layout topic, I guess you don't have a problem that I anser your message here in the forum. Well 'answer', you only fire a list of unmotivated statements to me without good argumentation. So what is it you want with this message, answeres, starting up a discussion???

I have absolutely no problem discussing things, you know me, I'm open to everything. The direction of the site is based on user input, I simply make what the audience wants, always has been, always will. I understand you have a problem with the last update. If you want to say something, be my guest lets talk about it, but your message is not about starting up a discussion, this is just a message to insult me. In your message you don't leave any room for me to answer; You come up with argumention that is mostly wayyy off the truth ("Nobody ever notcied there was a logo", "half the features don't work", "nothing ever gets fixed"). Then you feel it is necassary to use bad language ("shit", "sucks", "hell"). And most of all, you thing is is very needed to instult me directly ("swallow your pride"). What pride?? Because I am "too proud" to change it back because not everybody likes the new layout???? You cannot be serious.

I never ever have been insulted during my entire LSI life, but this message is by FAR the one that got the closest.

So let me do give you a response to your message. First of all your account is blocked. I made it my mission to fight against insults from members to other members. I don't tollerate this behavior, not from anybody. Neither from the 'core' forummers, especially not from the 'core' forummers, because they are an example for all new members and don't have to think they can do and say everything they want. A long membership and/or large forum post count doesn't make you immune for warnings, penalties or warnings.

Secondly, try to understand what LSI is really about. It seems you are a forummer who doesn't know much about the rest the site has to offer. Take a look there and find out the new things and also try to find the stuff that "doesn't work" according to you. I'm sure you'll see it is not "half" of the new features.

Last, som facts. 1) The visitor numbers increased 30% to 650,000 unique visitors a day since the last update, which shows the last update has been an inprovement to the site. 2) I do work 24/7 on the site and keep in mind it is just me, not a 25 ppl crew on the other site. So maybe updates and developments don't go as fast as other sites, I fix things on the site one by one. If you really pay attention you see minor or major changes every week.

20,510 posts	i am in agreeance with Ant. to ban Curtis is a bit weak. he never insulted you Ray. swallowing your pride is by no means an insult. it means just suck up the fact for the 30% of people you got coming in, you also lost with members not returning because of the change. 1. its pretty much impossible to navigate unless you have 15 minutes set aside to go from one area of the site to the other. 2. maybe its not half of the features, but a good many of the new features dont work, or didnt work for the better part of 3 months. i understand your one person managing this, but come on, atleast get together a layout that is more then half correctly functioning before you release it to a half million members and over a million users. i dunno Ray. it is your site. you do make the rules. you also do what obviously gets YOU the most money. if you think changing the layout is what WE wanted, your sadly mistaken.

47,924 posts	how could you not realise there was one? personally i do give a shit about the logo ,and dont think it should be changed. the reason being thats its pretty much the only part of the old lsi left. change that and there's nothing left. and i also doubt curt wil leave, if thats what he was hinting he was doing.

20,510 posts	no its not James. the logo changed after i got here, 2 plus years ago. THAT logo is the old logo. every version since then and that will continue on is just one that doesnt match the site.

Add a bunch of stuff that doesn't work and nobody liked, go ahead, it's your site. If you don't give a damn about actual people and just want a few extra users who are gonna register and never come back, go for it. Because the site is no longer unique. ...and I was one of the biggest supporters of the "new" LSI Ray. I gave it more of a chance than anybody. I waited days, then weeks, then months...and nothing ever got fixed. Might as well not have mods, they cna't do anything anymore. "User input?" What users are you getting input from? Certianly not the ones who actually use the site regularly. I was evne willing to ignore the fact that LSI's unique simplicity was gone, I was all hyped about the new fatures...Then 5-10 "regulars" left and this stie became a ghost site. Have I never gave reasonable suggestions? I usualyl don't even get a reply back. Like Anth said, this was so awesome. I could talk to friends on here, get some advice, tell some funny stories, get my lyrics, etc. Now I'm banned because I told you the truth? And you have to know it deep down too Ray that what I say is true, ask anyone who's been ehre awhile...Except James, but ask anyone and they'll tell you they don't like James lol... I don't see why you can't take this criticism and use it to make LSI better. In yuor estimate, it is better. Woo hoo! Extra user hits! Yay! ...but to everyone else it's lame and like tlaking to a brick wall. So do whatever you want, just don't expect anyone to like it.

I am impressed you do it all by yourself... But LSI is always going to grow. It always has, and why do you think that is? Hmmm, maybe because a core group of users started posting here, actually giving LSI a forum community. I'll disagree and say that the update is hardly the reasn for any increase in numbers.
