classic rock fans who think they're smart because they like klassik rawk.
The kinda fans who will viciously hate a song due to it being overplayed.

| I hate fans who like the artist more then their music. And also those who think that judge the artist on the lyrics that they sing...WHEN THEY DIDN"T EVEN WRITE THEM!!!
e.g. Mario didn't write the lyrics to You Should Let Me Love You, yet I see everywhere girls saying "awww, it's so sweeet!"

| Like someone else said - I hate the people who refuse to open their minds to new music. Even if it's in the style of music they already listen to they won't listen to it because they don't know it.
And I also hate the snobs. The people who say "Oh my god - you like them! Hahahaha. How can you listen to them, they suck! You have such bad taste. You're not cool".

| I could rant for a while. I get sick of people who only like the recent and the popular... what sense is in that? They were just hand fed the junk, they didn't learn anything or discover anything.

| There's a lot I can say about this. I hate fans of music who judge bands by their appearance, lyrics, or beliefs. I hate people who obsess over certain bands after only hearing a few songs. I hate people who automatically think that everything they don't like is crap (especially if the genre they dislike is metal or classical). I hate people who think metal music is just randomn screaming and noises. I hate people who think that you're not a "tr00" fan of a genre just for listening to other stuff. I hate people who only like things that are mainstream or non-mainstream. I hate people who think that only certain people should listen the music they like. I hate people who judge others by the music they listen to. I hate people who think certain bands (or their fans) are posers just for not having a certain image.... Ok, I'll stop now.
But in terms of genres, I'd have to say that the fans of mainstream rap annoy me most. I hate listening to and watching them pretend to be "gangstas", and when they walk by with their sh!tty music at full blast on their music players or when they drive by with all their car windows open blasting their music and thinking that it makes them cool. It's even worse when they sing/dance along to it. *shudders* Of course, not all of them suck though. I've met some pretty cool people who were into that type of music.
As much as I hate to say it, some metal fans are really annoying. I'm referring to the elitist ones who make fun of people who don't like metal, think that metalheads who like other genres are posers, and think their taste in music makes them superior to others. ... that make you justify listening to the music that you do, or drooling over the songs you love.
.. that can't understand how you can listen to one song over and over for days.
... that judge you for what you wear, how you style your hair, or what 'scene' you fit into.
.. that make fun of how you appreciate the music that you love, whether its worship websites, band wear, seeing every show, if you like a song and not the band, or like a band but not all their songs.
... that think if you don't know ALL the songs ever made by a certain band.. you can't be a TRUE FAN.
.. that think if you have listend to a band longer you are a 'more true fan'.
... that need a million genres and subgenres to rattle on about to act like they 'know more about music'... I like it.. thats all I need to know.
.. that complain constantly about music they know NOTHING ABOUT.
... that can actually say .. 'thats not music'... just because 'they don't like it.'
ehhh I pretty much dislike music fans that complain too much about other music fans.
let people do what they want.. girls are going to drool over cute guys... guys are going to drool over hot girls.. don't act like you haven't ever done it.. everyone has misheard lyrics... no one was around for the 'early stages' of every band..
ease up... music is meant to be enjoyed... not talked about so much that no one wants to hear it anymore.

| Oh my goodness, I just had a TERRIBLE experience with a certain group of fans. My friend and I went to a morning show taping for a singer and stuck out like a sore thumb. We clearly weren't "TRUE" fans because we didn't have our embroidered jean jackets, patches, buttons, purses with his face all over them, t-shirts, sweatshirts, etc, etc. We waited for over 2 hours by ourselves next to the stage so we could be right up front while everyone else was participating in the morning show festivities, then when that was over a huge group of them got right in front of us. When we expressed our frustration with the situation, they proceeded to explain how it didn't matter how close you were and that it was a huge space with plenty of room for everyone and they continued to talk about us as if we weren't standing right next to them. Keep in mind these were grown women. We're not talking 15 year old boyband fans. It was extremely frustrating and quite frankly disgusting to see the disregard some people can have for others who aren't as "worthy" as they are.
THOSE are the type of fans I can't stand. |
