95 posts	I want to drift away in prophetic dreams but the morning can't bring light to realization In the suns rays these days of dreams seem worn and faded and sometimes the distance between what's right and what's good has never seemed so far habits like lost loves chain me to my mediocrity While Mr Jones hands me one more To make it through the night 'Cause the sunshine broke it's promise of a brighter day And this day seems just a little too much like the last So I'll lie here in my grave Between hope and survival and search my soul for the will to change the world I'll seek in your heart a love unconditional I'll drive down that dark and lonely road Looking for another dreamer Praying, that somewhere In this Ocean of Indifference there is a bright shinging purpose To push me like Atlas to the weight of my actions My fear for acceptance is forever Looking for a distant knowledge Of someplace higher than this While my dreams seem more and more fleeting in this slowly fading oblivian

5 posts	Er um, here is a song I wrote... I've written at least 100 songs but most don't have tunes, or are stupid. Anyway, Here is one... Mixed Feelings I thought you were a jerk, I thought I didn't care for you, But now I'm not so sure, I think I love and hate you too. CHORUS I really don't know what I want. Do I love you, don't think I'll ever know. It's so hard to have mixed feelings, Coz I hate you and love you too. Now I know one thing, I don't hate you anymore, But how can I decide, If it's love or like I'm not sure. CHORUS I'll never ever know, My true feelings. Coz I think that my heart, Is really mixed and muddled. CHORUS That's it. Its not really very good but still... P.S. No one steal it!

27 posts	No seriously you have some talent there one of my hobbies i do out of school! and not even for work is i write songs for my mates bands and stuff! and that really is very good! And when people write songs they must always remember its not about making rhyme or even letting it make sense as long as it flows in a way! But then again some people see it as they want it too rhyme! But you have talent there and the one on the very first page is very good as well i must admit!

336 posts	sorry i can't read song lyrics without knowing what the tune is first. i tried reading some of the ones on here but it was just so hard without a tune!! whenever i write a song i always think of a tune first. it's not that i want to it's that i just can't start writing the lyrics unless i know what tune they have to go to.

333 posts	Doc- i like the message of the first one but the second one flows better- it sounds super good just as lyrics, which is important for songs- the lyrics should be worth reading over and over regardless of the tune, i think. well done dude

336 posts	The tune is the most important part of a song--it's what makes the song what it is. You'd know that if you listened to real music (by real music i mean music by composers such as Tchaikovsky, Bach, ect.

I'm a recently-started songwriter, it just came to me that I was good at writing parodies, and I got a few positive comments on my first song, Rewind (which is on its own thread, but I'll post it here sometime). As soon as I started, all the ideas kept coming to me...and as someone said, k so it turns out all this song-writing is getting quite addictive.... , lol same here...I'll post sometime...keep up wit da good work guys
