| 2. The Universe in a Nutshell by Stephen Hawkings
3. Its ok, it takes time to understand because the chapters are more independent, needs to be gone over a few times.
4. Its basically like A Brief History of Time, only more weirder and geekish | 0 @ 23-03-2004 23:30 Frodo Baggins | 237 posts
| 1. Just finished reading Lord of the Rings: Return of the King a few weeks ago.
2. Before that, I read...The Two Towers.
3. All 3 LotR books: Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and Return of the King, are all great. These are actually the longest books I've ever read, because I'm not much of a reader and the movies inspired me to read the books.
4. It's about a hobbit (Frodo Baggins ) who is sent to take a ring to Mount Doom, the only place where it can be destroyed. Sauron, the bad guy in the books, is trying to get the ring back, and if he does, then he will rule all of Middle-Earth. There's a whole lot more that happens and everything, but it'd take forever to explain it all. | 0 @ 23-03-2004 23:33 xcr4zyx | 31,691 posts

It's very thought-provoking. I enjoyed reading it.
4.What is it about?
Has anyone read 1984 By Gorge Orwell? It's kind of like that. Set in an alternate future of America, a totalotarian government rules the country and women have little or no rights, based on their status in society. The book is about one servants struggle against the system. | 0 @ 24-03-2004 23:07 filo | 4,508 posts

| the other day i read a book called marrying malcolm murgatroyd and its kid of a kids book like 120 pages but it was really good and made me cry. it was about this girl who was popular and her family was best friends with the most unpopular boy in schools family. and the girl made the boy (malcolm) promise not to tell anyone they were friends. the girls brother had md and malcolm was the only one who made him feel better and so that was always hwer excuse for sticking up for malcolm when everyone picked on him. so anyways her brother goes to the hospital and they tell her family that the next time he catches a cold then he would die. and the girl was always wondering why malcolm never did normal things like play sports and it was coz he spent all his time researching md and he was an expert on it. at the end she reads an autobiography of her life in front off her class and says that she'd like to marry someone like malcolm and ends up marrying him when theyre older.
i cried thru the whole thing
btw, sorry so long |
