slow gameplay - solutions?

| okay so i know someone must know how to solve my problem - basically i wouldnt mind knowing why my gameplay is all jerky and slow and freezey on games such as the sims and battlefield etc - its kinda annoying and i dont know if there is any way of making it not like that lol - help pleeease |

| I assume that you have no downloads going and no anti-virus things running, right?

| i got a 1mb broadband connection - which says its fine for the games im playing - but its also slow when not online. and yeah nothing else is running - i thought it might be something to do with my RAM or something?? or my graphics card? |
