| Why did Zidane attack that italian player?
I suspect that the italian player said a bad word to Zidane so he got mad from the stress and all of that !
Does anyone knows what did the player say ? |

| Players say stuff all the time to other players. Whether it's abusive or not. But those players who've been sweared upon or abused possibly can't go tell on them to the referee.
Most players say stuff, usually to enrage the other and inflict a change in his gameplay. Some players are able to tolerate it, others are not. And Zidane, unfortunately, couldn't control his emotions.
Sigh =/ | 0 @ 10-07-2006 08:43 supasweetgirl |  735 posts
| So why does Zidane get a red card and the other player gets nothin at all ?!
Don't you see that it's a little bit unfair? | 0 @ 10-07-2006 08:46 FireWaterBurn | 28,885 posts
| Did the other guy headbutt him? | 0 @ 10-07-2006 08:47 fishmunky | 20,435 posts
| players trash talk on the field all the time
have you ever played...because its a pretty common occurance
maturity prevails...if you shake it off it looks like some douche bag is just shooting his mouth off
if you lose your cool you ook like amaniac
guess which road Zidane chose | 0 @ 10-07-2006 08:51 supasweetgirl | 735 posts
| lol
No, but maybe he had to cuz the other dude said sumthin to him !
I think that Zidane and the italian player should've get yeloow cards ! Both of them ! | 0 @ 10-07-2006 08:57 fishmunky | 20,435 posts
| no no no
like i said trash talk is prevailant in football...there is no foul for trash talk unless your threatening violence
blantantly headbutting an opposing player in the chest when the ball is no where near you in play
not only is it dangerous and disrespectful, but its unsportsmanlike and really a black eye on the game
and i like Zidane i think the guy ranks as one of the best mid fielders to play the game
but he disgraced himself, and his nation with that action...his flagrant disregard for the rules really took the wind out of the french sails...and its a shame because he has been a consumate class act his entire career...but all that over shadowed by a headbutt to Materazzi
believe me had that been earlier in the tournament he would have faced additional match bans | 0 @ 10-07-2006 09:04 DarXide | 5,931 posts
| The other Italian player (can't remember his name) who (might've) abused Zidane cannot be yellow carded. I mean. What proof do the referee and his assistants have? On what base are they going to card him? And they can't card him for saying something. That's just immature. Whatever the Italian player might've said, it's all Zidane's fault
I'm sure thousands of people blame Zidane for losing the World Cup. As for a team to lose their skipper as well as an outstanding player can be demoralizing. | 0 @ 10-07-2006 09:39 supasweetgirl | 735 posts
| I'm really messed up right now!
I guess I'm just finding any excuse and convince my self with it.
However, I still think that there should be no penalties in the world cup, specially the finals ! | 0 @ 10-07-2006 10:39 Rise | 560 posts
| So how would you decide the games then if its all even after 90? |
