| it sounds as though you can do anything you want (like kill, rape, lie decieve) and if you ask for God's forgiveness then it is ok. Everything is suddenly all right with the world, and you're a clean person. Thats wrong! That you will be forgiven just like that. How can anything like that such as murderering thousands of people and jsut asking God for forgivness, and suddenly now its ok to have to killed them, now you've been forgiven.
Isn't that just abusing gods forgiveness? |

| God not existing isn't a fact though. Neither is god existing, for that matter. | 0 @ 15-06-2006 19:14 mounstrito | 796 posts

My point exactly. And people who just shun peoples beliefs are arrogant. Arrogant because they believe their opinion is superior to others. | 0 @ 15-06-2006 19:16 mounstrito | 796 posts

| I was wondering how long it would take for someone to drag out the, "You can't prove God doesn't exist!" crap. | 0 @ 15-06-2006 19:18 DirtyBlueAngel | 2,218 posts
| Well, can you? | 0 @ 15-06-2006 19:24 AlmightyShmun | 1,189 posts
| Can you present a single shred of anything that even vaguely resembles evidence of God's plausibility? Is there anything the least bit rational that says that some omnipotent, almighty being(besides myself, of course) could potentially exist in any form?
Of course not. All you've got is a crusty old book of fables and mediocre poetry written by half-crazed monks just under two centuries ago. | 0 @ 15-06-2006 19:27 DirtyBlueAngel | 2,218 posts
| Personally I don't choice to believe in him.
But on the other hand, can you present any evidence to me that he doesn't exist? For actualy fact. | 0 @ 15-06-2006 19:29 AlmightyShmun | 1,189 posts
| There isn't a grand need for evidence to disprove God's existence. He's irrational by default. | 0 @ 15-06-2006 19:29 andro | 42,248 posts
| Schmun, there's no real evidence to prove god's existence, and there's no evidence to prove god's non-existence. It is a matter of faith, and when dealing with matters of faith scientific and logical reasoning break down completely. You cannot use logic to prove or disprove faith, just as you cannot use faith to prove or disprove logic. | 0 @ 15-06-2006 19:32 AlmightyShmun | 1,189 posts
| Which is precisely why I make no qualms about mocking faith. It doesn't make any sense. |
