Try bands like Pantera, Children Of Bodom, Shadows Fall, Arch Enemy, God Forbid, Megadeth, Avenged Sevenfold, Dream Theater, and Slayer.

step one: download any number of songs from the bands previously suggested

step two: go to a reputable tab site like mxtabs.net or ultimate-guitar.com and search for the song you think sounds awesome

step three: sit in your room and practice until its perfect

download Guitar Pro, then get Guitar pro Tabs from Mysongbook. As mxtabs has gone kerplunk.

naw mx is back up, it has been for the last month or so...the tabs are still hit and miss, but i still like taking the basic idea of a riff and figuring the rest out for myself

I should of checked before I said it.
