I'm actually not overly upset about this or anything, I just feel the need to share.

So, I finally decide at 3:30 that it might just be a good idea to go to bed since I work today. I go to the bathroom to get ready. I here someone get up & come to the door. Realizing I was in there they went to use the bathroom downstairs. When I leave I hear water running downstairs. So I just think that maybe someone else went down there again because I'm willing to admit it takes me ages to get ready even for bed. The water is strangely loud though. So I wait to see if someones door closes for a minute or two. Nobody does. I go downstairs & the entire downstairs front hall is flooded. And it pretty much sounds like it's raining in my home now.

I then have the wonderful task of waking my grandparents up at 4 in the morning since I live with them. The next joy of all joys was hunting down a bucket & sponge to soak up all the water in the front hall, hallway by the bathroom, and the bathroom. I go into the basement to find the bucket & proceeded to pretty much get rained on. All my clean clothes in my laundry basket down there nice & wet. Lovely.
Now off to soak up water in the front hall! Oh the joy that brought me. You don't not even know. Especially since we keep our muddy shoes in the front hall & I got to soak that up. Mmm great. Toliet water & mud.

The entire pantry closet got soaked in a nice puddle of water. The pantry closet also happens to be overflowing. So we have tons of boxed food on the floor in paper bags which all got soaked obviously. Got to rebag that. Insanely fun.

I can't even begin to tell you how soaked our basement is. or how overpacked it is so I can't even imagine how much crap down there is soaked to the max.

And it's now after 5 & my grandma is still downstairs fretting about everything.

What a lovely Saturday morning. Okay I'm done rambling =)

Awww, how infuriating. And to answer your question, I personally have never been rained on in my house.

haha it's fun you should try it sometime

It really isn't that bad it just sucked that it happened at 4 in the morning.

Our toliet is apparently dying because it just flooded last week too but as it was in the middle of the day people were around to catch it before it got too bad.

luckly not
My house has never been flooted
But at this time in the south of Germany there is a large floot - melting snow and lots of rain there
