| Well guys, this is just for you all to know that megan has accomplished what ray didnt want to do. As many of you know there are issues in chat on a daily basis. Meg has emailed the principal of the school of about 7 girls who cause huge problems in chat. They are now banned

One of the girls sent her a myspace request. She figured out where they lived from it. Found the school messaged the principal. Confirmed it was their principal, and the site is being banned.

they all go to the same high school and they're between the ages of 13 and 16.
Tab- i'm positive no other students from that school get on the website. they were an every day disturbance in the chat and i didn't just do that drastically. I've dealt with them for a week or two now. Talked to Ray and Phil about them so it wasn't like i just up and e-mailed the principal to block the site. | | 0 @ 23-03-2006 01:01 Pandora |

| I know that.. but I think that Phill and Ray should have done something about it.. or the ops in the chat just do their job and kick them.. we shouldn't have to go out of our way to ban people like that... especially a whole school.. that's one reason Ray didn't like to use IP bans because it ends in more people getting banned than just the people that need to.
The only thing that is stupid about all of this is that it wasn't dealt with if it was such a problem, by the people that are sposed to deal with such.
Secondly I hate schools banning websites.. it's just like censoring for all the wrong reasons... I can understand on in classroom computers but nothing more... and with one school doing it .. others may follow.. I know that when sites get banned at school systems here for causing problems.. they send them out through the whole system/surrounding counties to stop the problem.. and I would hate for LSI to end up like myspace and the like.. .. just kind of thinking in the wider spectrum of things.
But that's cool that you went out of your way to do that Meg.

Just because the school banned the website .. doesn't mean that they are gone... like someone said... joe.. or meg or someone else... they can still get on at home..
so it still should be brought to Phil/Ray's attention as a more serious manner.

People shouldn't be accessing sites like this from school. They're supposed to be doing schoolwork at school, not annoying people in chatrooms. If they want to come onto a site like this they should do it from home. So I think it's a good thing that the school banned the whole site.
Sure those kids can still get on from home, but they're less likely to cause trouble because they won't all be together (like they were at school), egging each other on. And if they continue to cause trouble then Ray or Phil or whoever can deal with them. | | 0 @ 23-03-2006 01:13 megdoll187 |

| tab i talked to ray n phil about it. i pmed them many times. Ray said he'd give them a ban warning but nothing came of it. I kicked them at least twenty times a day. They have like 4 or 5 names that i know of. God knows how many others they used after they got kicked from one.
I tried dealing with it best i could. i warned them numerous times that if they didn't stop they'd get a ban warning or i would contact their principal.
The principal said that it's against the rules for the girls to go into sites like that during school hours, let alone any of the students.
And there are stalkings thaty happen in LSI. I've gotten complaints about them. There are pedofiles in there trying to hook up with girls and one of the girls from the schools was talking to different guys. It's not exactly the safest thing.
One of the gyus could get ahold of the girl's addresses or something and stalk/rape the girl. I mean... look how easy it was for me to obtain the informatin that i did n it wasn't that hard. | | 0 @ 23-03-2006 01:38 JewUnit | 8,152 posts

| yea sure, but it's not up to you to be a mom to everyone in there.. believe me.. it's too tiresome I have been there.. if there are Pedophiles in the chat and you know it.. THATS what you should be taking to Ray.
He might not deal quickly with little girls and their games.. but if you tell him something about that then he will. That is insuring the safety of the members and not just playing into the games of children.
Sure people shouldn't be on the site at school.. but 99% of the hits the forum gets is from people at school.. you know?
I guess it's just me and not thinking it's right to go digging into other peoples private lives.. just to start trouble.. Phil and Ray should have handled it.

| Tabitha you yourself have said many times how useless it is to message ray about anything. everyone knows he is busy all the time. He himself said he couldnt do anything
and when your in the chat a lot, like some of us are, u find that kicking doesnt work anymore, and when nothing comes of going through the proper channels doesnt work, u do it yourself.

| If I wanted something done I always went to Ray about it and still do. If you stay on him and give him proper proof of what's going on he will fix it.
What are we goign to start chasing down everyone that's annoying 'by breaking the rules' in the chat now ? Start calling parents about their kids misbehaving?
Extreme isn't the half of it.. it's just wrong.
