| Would you rather your guy get you something that you could use for Valentines day?? like a gift certificate to your favorite store or a new purse or some shoes or something?
or would you rather get flowers, and candy, and the stuffed animal, and a romantic dinner and that whole deal??
i just wonder what most girls prefer...... |

| Candy makes you fat, so the gift that I could actually use would be a wise gift, but that's just me. | 0 @ 06-02-2006 01:18 JewUnit | 8,152 posts

| Flowers, wine and a home cooked dinner. Or, if they cant cook, takeaway. You don't wanna be in some couple-packed restauraunt. | 0 @ 06-02-2006 01:21 fire_at_will | 2,308 posts

| I'd rather have an aknowledgement of Valentine's day. Like, "Hey, Valentine's Day is coming up, may I plan something for it?" I'd probably end up saying no, saying, let's just hang out a bit that night, a card would be fine. I'd rather surprised with an extravagant date at random. Frankly, the idea of Valentine's day makes me a little squirly inside. | 0 @ 06-02-2006 01:28 Masterful_Ally | 15,627 posts
| No, I mean take-away, I am not American.
Really, all you wanna do is stay at home and be nice to each other and not b*tch in that coupley way and lie in bed being romantic and making sweet lurve. You don't want stupid extra stuff. Apart from flowers. Flowers are lovely. | 0 @ 06-02-2006 01:32 CaribbeanGurl87 | 2 posts

I would love for my boyfriend to be creative, write me a small poem, or sing me a verse of a song that shows how he feels for me, something that comes out of the heart, I am not into gifts, and all that , all I need is his love and a sweet embrace | 0 @ 06-02-2006 01:34 JewUnit | 8,152 posts

| You know, every girl is going to want something different. Don't listen to the advice of several strangers, *think* about your girlfriend. This has to come from the heart. Don't use any cheesy formulas because she will see right the heck through them. Be real, be genuine. | 0 @ 06-02-2006 03:15 xMajinx | 13,401 posts

| romatic gifts are just more...romantic than practical gifts. though i have no boyfriend and will probally get nothing. i would like some flower and chocolate though. | 0 @ 07-02-2006 00:32 dark_knight86 | 4,992 posts
| I would prefer something I could use, flowers and chocolate are nice and all but flowers die and chocolate don't last with me and I would prefer something for my birthday instead since it's a week after valentine's day. | 0 @ 07-02-2006 01:11 ThisDisaster17 | 163 posts

| weeeeeeeeeeell personally speaking.. Valentine's Day is very close to my birthday (which is in about 2-3 days, depends where you live and what time is it there) and I always thought it's such a shame I never had a boyfriend then, cuz then he could do something to mention both my birthday and Valentine's Day, what would make it personal.
in general I want something personal. it can be something useful, or not, but the important thing is that it would be romantic in the matter of it being something that would show he REMEMBERED. like a private joke we both share, get or do me something about it. or something he knows I long for and it's somewhat of a dream of mine to have (and there IS such thing..), then get it for me, without me even suspecting. the gift that would touch me the most would be something that shows he's been reading between the lines.. like.. when I've been in that kind of a relationship with Netanel, I told him about my dad's passing and told him a lil story about the way me and my dad used to have a Friday conference at a coffee place, where we had a regular waitress whom my dad adored. he kept talking about her all the time. after he died I felt an urge to go there and tell her that.. I felt like she's somewhat a part of our family now. but I never had the courage to do it.. on the few times I went there, she wasn't there.. and I've never seen her again. I told Netanel all that, just because I felt comfortable talking to him about everything, and I really never thought he would do anything about it.. we weren't even technically dating.. well one day we spoke on the phone.. and he told me "Neta, I'm planning a surprise for you.." now me, being a girl, and me, just couldn't hold it and kept asking him what is it till he finally said that he's trying to set a meet up with me and the waitress so I can finally tell her that. he called the management of that chane of coffee places and asked them about that waitress, they said they'll give her his phone number and he's about to arrange that meeting. I was amazed. no one ever did anything like that for me. I didn't even thing he would, I could never imagine that, I didn't think of doing it myself.. I could almost cry when he told me that..
it's things like that.. doing something from the heart, cuz you know I'll like it.. cuz you know it will be special and mean something to me.. it doesn't have to be expensive or jusst plain cheesy.. but just something that SHOWS you care.. about ME. something that shows you've been there all along.
but it's stupid of me talking about it lol.. the eternal single. | 0 @ 08-02-2006 22:15 slim_gary | 7,286 posts
| well if i had anyone this valentines day it would be the home made card, the home cooked meal and the dash of gary magic. | 0 @ 11-02-2006 16:37 DaDdY_DoLlaZ | 6,046 posts
| ok.. just because a guy spends money on you for Valentines day doesnt mean that you are using him for his money ladies..
its not like he just thinks he has to buy something or you arent gona be happy.
Maybe.. Just MAYBE, he Wanted to buy you something. because he knows it will make you smile. and the Best thing that HE can get for Valentines day is Your smile. so he is kinda doing it for himself too.. in a way, i guess.. | 0 @ 11-02-2006 16:42 dakondakblade | 10,180 posts
