| Are there any other Bob Dylan fans on the forum? It would be quite sad if there weren't!
I've been listening to his latest album 'time out of mind' the last few days, what a classic album, just as good as his early classics
so, anyone else a fan of "the poet" dylan ?!
favourite albums or songs? |

PS: Creedance, I saw you're other post - dont judge us all by the (mainly new) users who just post about eminem and busted and GC and so on, they're a very small proportion of us. Also, you're a new user. Dont be so rude and judgemental... | 17-06-2003 11:19 SPLIFFMAN | 2,702 posts

| yeah u should, along with the beatles and a few others, he's someone who changed the whole direction of 20th century music, legend
his greatest hits might be a good place to start, then maybe his latest album, time out of mind, both are fantastic | 18-06-2003 16:53 Plantagenet |

| I'm not so really wild about him, but that is due to "I want you", cause every time I hear that sentence, I hear this song and for one reason or the other, it sounds way too happy for Dylan! lol | 17-11-2004 18:30 chaval | 9 posts
| I "found" Dylan when I was fallen in love with a guy who was a real Dylan-fan...
My favourite songs are
Hurricane, stuck inside of mobile with this memphis blues again, rainy day women, sad eyed lady of the lowlands, knockin' on heavens door and pledgin my time.
I have listened just two albums, blonde on blonde and greatest hits.
Could somebody tell wich songs i should listen?
I mean what songs do you think are his best ? | 19-11-2004 02:48 SPLIFFMAN | 2,702 posts
| There's a beautiful dylan song that I wholeheartedly recommend. 'Girl from the north country'. I t really is a gorgeous, heartfelt song that just makes me melt. Something about those lyrics and the way it makes me think of every girl I ever liked and miss. Download it if you can, very poetic! | 14-12-2004 12:48 chaval | 9 posts

These "letssingit" sites says it's by Rod Stewart...?
Beautiful lyrics, anyway.(but haven't heard it,yet)
Funny, i'm also from north. We had snow about week ago, but then it melted away..sad. it's so dark without it. | 14-12-2004 13:11 Roxy_Ryan |

| I am completely obsessed with Bob Dylan.
I have 7 of his CDs so far and they are all sooo good. I cant name my favorite songs of his because that would be ALL of his songs that I've heard. Yeah, he's amazing. | 24-03-2005 01:06 the_BurnInAtOR | 3,204 posts
| Eh... he's one of those guys that are good songwriters but shitty performers... like leonard cohen...
I hate his voice, generally his stuff is highly mediocre in all aspects...
But he did write watchtower, so he gets some credit... even though the song was sub-par untill Dave Matthews got his hands on it... | 25-04-2005 04:14 Sourskittle419 | 21 posts
| aww I love his voice
I didn't know avril lavigne covered knocking on heavens door, i hope i never hear it either. | 25-04-2005 23:41 king_o_dudes | 80 posts
| I am a huge bob dylan fan, i believe he is one of the greatest songwriters ever, if it wasn't for him we probably wouldn't have been some of the bands there were. |
