| Asian people and some African ones are trying very hard to look 'white'.That's probably because that's what's infashion nowadays.They're dying their hair blonde, conking it, using blue/green contacts, etc...
I even heard that there's this plastic surgery done in either Japan or China that gives them wider eyes!!
Do you think the 'white' look is more beautifull? We shouldn't be sensitive here.If some one said yes it doesn't mean that they are racists.People from different races do think the 'white' look looks more beautifull or they wouldn't have tried imitating it!!
Which race, regardless of what's in fashion now, do you find more beautifull? |

| I don't see the problem here, really. She was just asking a question. A friend of mine went to Egypt, and she had guys aaaaall over her, cause she was tall, blonde and had blue eyes. I don't think that the "white" look is more beautiful. People always wanna look different from what they do. People with straight hair want curly hair. Blondes dye their hair dark, brunettes dye theirs blonde. People are interested in what's "different". Exotic. Anything to be "different". But ok, so you say I should act the way I am right? Im a white male. When I started listening to music I mainly listened to hiphop cos I loved the rhymes and the flowing of the words. I now mainly listen to rock cos there's still so much out there that I havent heard yet. But....does that mean that I acted like I was someone who I'm not when I listened to hiphop? | This is only based on my own experiances, i dont wish to generalize.
I grew up in northern Canada where about 75+% of the communites are reserves. I can tell you that the attitude that was directed toward the white population was not pleasant at all. Its hard to imagine for a lot of North Americans that my being white was actually made me an ethnic minority but when I left my town I was.
To my face i was jeered at and even spit on but i knew that it was all a very superficial act. These same people that spit on me and called me racial slurs ( yeah, i know. who knew there were any?) had there hair bleached blonde and horribly fake green and blue contacts in their eyes. And honestly the experiance made me more sad for my attackers than it did for me.
I dont think this came about because people want to be white or because they think caucasian culture is better than their own. I think it came about becasue thats the majority of what people see beauty to be in the media. We are snow-blinded by whiteness in the media. Sure we se some black actors and maybe one or two East Indian and Muslim actors and musicians but, face it, they are sparse.
What people of non-white ethnicities fail to see is mass acceptance of beauty modeled after theur own culture so they are forced to turn to the dominant one to aspire too.
Of course that is an extreme generalization and I know it. But that is probably the reasoning behind some of the attitude we're seeing.

So this guy is partly colombian and he went with a friend of him, who's dutch, to italy. And while he's the one who's 'scoring' the whole time over here, when they were in italy it was the other way around and girls were all over his friend.

| I didn't know if people try to be 'white'. I'm really light and all I see and hear about here in California is people going tanning or dying their hair dark. I don't think any certain look is necessarily more beautiful than another, people have their own definition of beauty. Someone said people with smaller eyes don't look as good as people with larger eyes.. I think Asians generally are beautiful and I actually like their eyes. I also think that a blonde hair blue eyed light look is just as beautiful as a girl with dark hair and darker skin. I actually think people that are unique and a bit edgy and different are interesting to look at because they don't just look like everyone else. If the people of Egypt or wherever just want to look white and light, then everyone will look like someday and maybe then they'll learn to love who they really are and what they really look like because they'll see how silly it really is.

I like white girls though. Yep, I like em white. I think Indian chicks are so hott. Indian people have big eyes, and I know some Indian chicks and I think they are really pretty.

Also look at the spanish soap operas. They look white! And house maids are always darker and dumb.

A different woman with a darker skin tone is a maid. I cant find a pic with her in a maid outfit but she was a maid in a soap opera and look at her skin color. |
