| The man was a legend for united, best mid-fielder the premiership has seen. Anyone got any opinions on him being let go by united, there are a host of rumours, will he join celtic or perhaps stay in the premiership. Don't think he will stay in england, probably end up in italy, any thoughts. |

| To say he waspast his peak a few seasons ago is rubbish, he still put in some great performances this year even before he got injured. Ya he is old but that is why he is such a great player, he has adapted his game since he cant get up to the pace he used to be able to. I think he was right to criticise the players when he did, they werent performing and as club captain a certain responsibility rests with him. | I think as a person he's a disgrace, but I thought you were simply talking about his football skills - which were brilliant and still are, but he simply cannot keep up with world class players 10 years his junior in the Premier League, and he certainly can't compete on something like the England first team. | Wouldn't expect him to compete on english first team considering he is irish, but anyway why do you say he is a disgrace as a person. I think he is a role model for a lot of young sports men and women. He has a huge appetite for the game, sure he can be a bit hot headed at times but thats simply because he wont settle for second best. If you are playing sport at his level lets face it, you're not in it for the fun of it. A lot of the players these days care only about the money, he came from a different era, playing with players who were loyal to a club like robson and highes, cantona and schmeichel |
