55 posts	Adam's Song by Blink 182 definitely makes me think... A few years ago my friend commited suicide... the night before his death i can remember the soft melody of Adam's Song Playing on the phone.. he learned to play it for me on the piano.. whenever i hear it it makes me wonder why.. but now that hes gone that song will NEVER be the same.... What song has the most meaning to you...and why?

752 posts	Held- Natalie Grant I am a Christian, and so i believe that we are held in our time of need. My cousin Terry got very sick when he was just 4 and he passed away. He was the light of our family but his body couldn't handle what he was facing. In the song she says "this is what it means to be held, how it feels when the sacred is torn from your life and you survive." That little angel had to leave us and we have to live with that, but i pray every day for his mom and daddy and i find comfort in the fact that i will get to see him again one day. (this kiss by faith hill also means alot b/c he used to scream it at the top of his lungs b/c he loved that song & Hero by mariah carey b/c it was played at his funeral)

752 posts	awww.. well that is a beautiful song. it means a lot to me as well. as a matter of fact there are tons that mean a lot to me. but my great gramma used to sing me to sleep with that song. i don't know if you believe in prayer, but i will be praying for ya'll anyways

3,618 posts	Two songs I guess: 'It's Been a While' by Staind: Every single lyric in the song perfectly describes how I feel about a person in my life and the way I fucked up things and thus how I feel about life sometimes. Name any part of that song and I can tell how it applies to me. and 'Say What You Want' by Texas Me and my eldest sister was driving to my Grandad's, who was part of my immediate family, funeral and we turned on the radio and strangely this song started to played and we just both cried so much then. 'You can say what you want, but I still feel the same without you' R.I.P. Grandad.

55 posts	yeah... im pretty religous... he was my best friend... and im still blaming his death on myself... ive heard its not.. but when i think hard.. it really could/should have been stopped... but i just didnt know

5,464 posts	Goodbye To You by Michelle Branch is the one i would pick, it means a lot to me, because i played it at my Best friend's funeral a couple of years ago, and i actually haven't listened to it since, it's too hard for me and another one is There Is by Boxcar Racer, 'cos there are lines in it that really remind me of the times that me and my aforementioned best friend had, it brings back really good memories and we slowly finished laughing in the glow of our headlights

2,104 posts	Karma Police, by Radiohead, means a lot to me, because my best friend can play it on the piano, and I learned it on guitar, and when we're at school together, we sing it, and it brings back a lot of memories. Crash And Burn by Savage Garden just means a lot to me, I've loved that song since I first heard it when I was 11. Music When The Lights Go Out by the Libertines also reminds me of how much I wanted to be out of my relationship with my ex-boyfriend, and it seems so close to me. Bleed by Cold reminds me of being depressed when I was 14, and the guy who sent that song to me, and how important music generally is to me.
