36,113 posts	I made a little space on the moderator team, so I added a couple of people who hopefully will help with the workload. I'm sure many of you are already aware of Schatzi being a new mod, and I just added Maycen as our newest one. Congratulate, and wish them luck in doing a good job, because I've got my finger on the Donald Trump button and am ready to fire (ha) away at any moment.

10,980 posts	well making people censor themselves does tend to make people less liberal with their swearing, and does give a nicer environment imo, but yeah, i've not seen a card for swearing in weeks.

36,113 posts	To be honest, it irks the hell out of me when people censor a word with one or two stars because it isn't truly censorship. I say to censor the whole word or don't complain when carded for swearing. We decided to be a little more lenient towards non-aggressive cursing, assuming that people would be a little responsible about it if given the chance, but no, people take advantage of every inch they're given so I'm back to being very hard-nosed about it all.

19,068 posts	back before we had the card system alot of people were using cuss words wihout censoring it and getting away with it. BUt yeah, I do think the word should be more obscured than by one or two stars, even though I'm not offened by cuss words, rules are rules here.

10,980 posts	erm, so does saying stuff like "fork" "flower" count as adequate censorship? seriously, i don't blame the mods for being lax, no one has any idea what the standard is for any of the rules, it's crazy.

28,885 posts	Compared to other forums, this forum is money. I'd say in general we don't relaly have any problems around here. Can I say the "s" word anymore? I use it all the time, usually to start a sentence. I don't know, habit. I don't think swearing is even an issue when you aren't directing it at somebody to offend them.

20,412 posts	I guess since im the new Forum guy its in my best interest not to spam up the place though seriously, New mod announcement: New mods are: Pandora Dagor batmanpinkypunk PinkFloyd now i know what you're all thinking you just picked the first 4 people to volunteer, but thats only a half truth, but i seriously spent some time going over this the last couple months, and lets be honest we need some new mods, and i think these 4 can bring some new life and perspective to the modship so welcome the newest members to the team Hurray
