26 posts	i think dario silva is the guys name..but if we can get an away goal in uraguay even if we don't win then i reckon we're always a chance of a big win at home and hopefully winning on aggregate.

14,843 posts	I really have doubts that Australia can win. Argentina are the 2nd best team in South America (next to Brazil), and they can't beat Uruguay. I was watching the game and I noticed the amount of pressure they had on Argentina. Now if Argentina can't beat Uruguay (a team that ranked 5th in South Amercia that beat Colombia and Chile), then Australia has no chance

5,387 posts	Until we get out of the South American prelim whatever they are Australia wont make it to the World Cup. Anyway, I don't think Spain has made it yet

560 posts	You Aussies must be chompin' at the bit to get out of Oceania and join the AFC. England have made it, but given the quality available to us, squeezing into top spot of a p*ss poor group by virtue of a final day win simply isnt good enough. Sven is endangering the best chance this country has had in a generation.

5,653 posts	Yeah Spain are gonna have to go through the Play-Off's. But the biggest disapointment for me anyway was Isreal looked to be heading for the finals but there were put out on the last match. If they had got through it would have been the first time ever! What a Shame!

560 posts	I would have returned the compliment towards Scotland; but then I remembered that you weren't actually going to be in Portugal this summer... And that you have no good players to lose to blame a defeat on... Besdies, you should know by now. We've got a whole host of excuses and back-up excuses lined up. Top of the list - The players were distracted by conjecture over the future manager ; Sven's heart wasn't in it ; The Argies are cheating again ; Becks/Lamps/Gerrard/Rooney (delete as appropriate) didnt find his form ; UEFA dont like us...
