| gah. did anyone else think this book just plain sucked? i mean, it spent so much time building up a stupid and obvious conclusion. and now harry has to destroy what....6 other horcruxes in one book, and then kill voldemort himself.

WTF? the dictionary? am i missing something or do you really mean the dictionary?
anyway, Harry Potter doesn't suck, its brill and just because you don't like it that much there's no nead to be mean to the people who do. I almost cried when Dumbledore died. but in the six HArry won't die, JK rowling said he was going to but due to popular demand shes going to rewrite the ending so he won't die.

| at the end of book 6 when harry said something along the lines of 'i have to leave to sort voldemort out' i thought yes, thank god he's gonna do something on his own'. but NOOOO, bloody ron and hermione then insisted that they're gonna go with him. i therefore get the impression that harry is going to get taken through the next book in the wake of hermione and when the final showdown occurs something like 'his mothers love' will save him. i think the whole harry idea is brilliant, books great, but the PLOT is a bit lacking!!!!!!
i mean first kill serious then dumbledoore... that woman is a serial killer...
n the whole thing abt RAB... some suggested it is Regulus A. Black (serious's dead bro) thats a bit brilliant if anyone can pull it off...
i felt bad abt beaking up with jenny... just for jenny's sake... she has fallen for that stupid boy with the scar!!!

And huh? Hermione doesn't do everything for him. Neither does Ron. They're just good friends who will support him which is sweet.
Harry's done loads of stuff on his own: fought Ridlle, fought Professor Quirrell, fought Voldy in fourth year, got Dumbly out in the last book. So there. 
I loved the book. Not my fave but twas still great. Dumbly dying may have been obvious but I thought Snape was good.

| i reckon snape will turn out to be good.. there'l b some freakish twist. i also sincerely doubt that we've seen the end of dumbledore.. throughout the books hes been too great and too powerful for that to have been it for him. we've seen voldermort come back from nothing and dumbledore was just as, if not more, powerful than he was... he'l probably come back in book seven in some kind of spirit form. | | 0 @ 05-10-2005 16:54 davette | 174 posts

| It got pretty obvious that Dumbledore was going to die... I mean, c'mon, apart from his friends, Dumbledore's his only real rock... they'd half to get rid of him...
... anywho, I've said before in other threads what I think; Harry is, in one way or another, going to kill himself. Whetehr it be the overwhelming guilt of having killed someone, or because he's a horcrux, I have no idea... but I think he will.
... I also have a feeling that Neville's going to be playing a bigger role. I mean, at the moment there's no real reason why he's even in the books - to me, there's been no reason for him to be there except to give Harry a follower. But then there's constant mentions of how it 'could've been Neville' and not Harry... so I think he's going to play a bigger part.
