Ok so I'm trying reallyhard to combat the temptation of not eating in order to lose weight. Because truth be told, I don't really need to lose much weight, 5 pounds might be good, 10 pounds is pushing it, if I lose back all 15 pounds I gained I'm goign to make my father cry.

So girls with bigger frames...and I have a big frame, at 5'3'', they told me I looked sickly at 115 pounds...what do you do with your big frame to make it look good? I'm fairly lean but I'm just so...big! I mean....help me out here! What kind of stuff do you wear, etc.

she's right.

Meg... the whole forum has told you how beautiful you are.. I would kill to have your bod in that picture you are goregous.. everyone knows it and says it.. but it doesn't matter when we tell you.. because all you are going to think about is what you see in the mirror.

It's nothing physical.. it's all mentally and emotionally engrained into your thought pattern.. that's what you have to change... not your clothes.. or your weight.. how you see yourself.

I don't think I'm fat. I wouldn't mind losing 5 pounds or so, I'm just trying to get advice on ways to embrace my curves...I'm just never going to be a waif, I honestly have a bigger bone structure for my height! I knew this one girl last year who had a bone structure similar to mine, and instead of trying to dress in ways that made her slim, she dressed in ways that made her...her. And she was SOOO beautiful. I'm just trying to see if there's anyone out there who has the same...not problem really, just...situation. Because I'd love to know how to EMBRACE my curves like that instead of trying to get rid of them.

Tight around the stomach is good and loose around the top not both at the same time that would look silly and

tops that have detail at the top and plain at the bottom

trousers that are bootleg (if you want to make you hips show) and flared one if you want to balance out hips (which is good for HUGE hips didnt see if you had that)

zipper jackets done up 1/2 way I find quite flattering but i like to cover up my stomach

To add curves, layers work well. A perfect pair of jeans is mandatory.

And you don't need to lose weight, come on Meg. Don't go there again.

Meg, you're a beautiful young lady. You don't have to lose weight

My sister Joanna has a larger frame (you don't look like you have a larger frame to me though) and she always looks gorgeous no matter what she wears. Why? Because she's happy about her size. As long as you're confident about your body and love yourself, then that beauty always shines through

Meg - I am your height and I weigh 9stone too and I do not consider myself to be fat. I know sometimes I wine on here about trying to lose weight but that is only because of my closet desire to have a body like Kate Moss, which will never happen because I happen to have such things as breasts and hips, lol. I'm a uk size 10, so I guess that is an american 4? or 6? I don't know.

I find that lower necks are more flattering, I have a really small waist and big boobs so I like wrap tops too, so my boobs dont engulf my frame, lol. Basically, if you have a nice shape but are not really skinny, avoid anything baggy at all costs, especially coz we're 'petite', they just make you look larger and shorter than you actually are.

And straight-leg hipster jeans are flattering too.

I love, and I mean LOVE clothes, I actively enjoy getting dressed, lol. I experiment with clothes because despite what some people may thing you dont have to be a size 0 for things to look good, or to wear a more unusual style.
