I always thought it was

"Hey Mr. DJ stomp on the replay"

but it's

"Come Mr. DJ song pon de replay"

.. it would sound very much like it .. but the words sure don't come anywhere close.
I also don't like this song too much .. but i've listened to it a bit so posting up here came to mind

pon de replay roughly translates as "put of replay" but I'll assume that to mean "put on the replay" but spanish makes language difficult, but I do know that "pon" is a conjagated form of "poner" which means "to put" so it's something having to do with putting and replaying

if u listen to most if not ALL bashment tracks ( not that pon da reply is bashment) they all do it... its jus the way it is

ie sean paul, elephant man,capleton, sizzla, lady saw, buju banton... the list... goes... on....

Why would anyone think that the lyrics were 'stomp on the replay' or something like that if the song name is 'Pon de replay'?? Yeahh, just thought that I would share that.
