| Chino does have about 3.5 octaves which is a good range for a screamer.......his isnt very versatile or emotional though, he doesnt have good control either.
screamer? he sings more then he screams. and versatile? the man can damn near rap, he can scream in a variety of ways, and he can sing beautifully, i dunno but i'd say thats pretty versatile. and have you seen any thing live from him? he's quite emotional on stage while he's performing. i'll give you a bit give on control, but he can keep his notes in songs right on going quite well. | 0 @ 26-07-2005 10:04 glow_child_glow | 1,538 posts
| ohh right, i remember now, the God freak(sorry) that started an entire thread devoted to slagging peoples opinions on evoloution......that aside..

| There's a difference between having a good technique and having talent. If you don't have talent you can work on your technique as much as you want, you'll never become a 'great' vocalist.
Did anybody mention Robbie Williams yet? I don't like him too much, but his live version of Mr. Bojangles gives me goose bumps. | 0 @ 26-07-2005 11:01 Dagor | 34,872 posts
| That is the reason why you don't hear too much anymore of all these pop idol-winners after a while in my opinion.
They don't have talent. They have a little maybe, and then they are pushed into that show, are trained in technique to the top, even in different styles. After this training they are able to bring a really impressive song on stage. And that's it ... take the intensive coaching away and they fall back to oblivion.
A guy like Robbie Williams has talent. He is a spoilt b*stard, but he can rely on his voice. | 0 @ 26-07-2005 11:04 glow_child_glow | 1,538 posts
| really? i reckon his voice is just f**ked from smoking and alcohol...after his first album anyays, i reckon..but yeah heeres a nother little fact you might like to know
Jeff Buckley, had one album right? He taught himself to sing, and hed be singing just over ONE YEAR when he recorded Grace...thats TALENT | 0 @ 26-07-2005 11:06 Dagor | 34,872 posts
| ^ of course you'll tear down every singer other than jeff buckley ... that is quite obvious by now, isn't it? | 0 @ 26-07-2005 11:07 Jez | 12,757 posts

| i think Karl is IN love with Jeff Buckley. alright, the dude was awesome but when your whole entire arguement is just based on just him, it just gets old. and Maynard is not underrated. he gets his whenever anyone speaks about vocalists. if anything theres to many doubters about Maynard. there is no other who has a more chilling and goose bump provoking voice. and meh, still say Chino is among the top 10 regardless of anything. he has 4 Deftones, 1 Team Sleep and a countless amount of other songs to prove it, as well as all his live performances. | 0 @ 26-07-2005 18:56 Friend_Jones55 | 9,658 posts
| Damn Karl?
Who dont you get into an argument with? You only respect your opinions and no one elses? All you do here everyday is get into arguments with so many people and it bothers the hell out of me.
And btw you need to open your ears if you do not think that women dont have range just high voices. I have heard women that get as low as a tenor and as high as a soprano.
Why dont you respect people opinions for a change prick | 0 @ 26-07-2005 20:55 Friend_Jones55 | 9,658 posts
| Also I find it no fair that karl did not get any cards for all of the cursing he did | 0 @ 26-07-2005 21:03 lauts | 550 posts
| Amy Lee of course. | 0 @ 27-07-2005 09:27 glow_child_glow | 1,538 posts
| actually thats where you're wonrg...a good ranged woman generally can get from as you said Tenor-Soprano...3 voice.....good ranged males can geth through 4-Baritone to Soprano.even mesa soprano territory in Buckleys case | 0 @ 27-07-2005 09:27 glow_child_glow | 1,538 posts
| i dont really see ho wi get inot argumenbts with people, im sorry if i have. I dont mean to, i just think Buckley should be knows the world over. | +1 @ 27-07-2005 09:32 biancaissocool | 3,598 posts

| i just think Buckley should be knows the world over.
No you preach that he should be known around the world.
And that is why you get into so many arguments. Well that and a disregard for others opinions. | 0 @ 28-07-2005 04:31 glow_child_glow | 1,538 posts
| yeah, letting people know someoneexisted is generally preaching, but no i am informing..you know what that is? | 0 @ 28-07-2005 04:34 fishmunky | 20,439 posts
| its not preaching its pimping
