on a serious note:

are clams actually alive? i mean are they actually just oysters inside a cunning clammy disguise?
If they are alive do you have to take the living clam out of the clam shell to squeeze it?

in my mind the squishy part is removed and squeezed til it juices, or possibly massaged if thats what works for the clam.

Hence my theory clams are just oysters cunningly disguised. Actually not so cunningly.
I'm starting to suspect clams aren't actually all that smart.
If they have brains that is.

ah but thats what they want you to think! i bet clams and oysters are the same, but purposefully look different and taste different and have different traits and characteristics to suggest to you that they are in fact totally different. i bet inside those hard, rocky shells there is a brain the size of mine
