There's a piercing that young girls are taking part of now, called corset piercing. I know it's not a new thing, but now it's actually a trend which is something more than just a few people here and there doing it. Girls are actually getting this done for their PROMS, etc.

It's piercings up the back or side in two rows where hooks or eyelets are put in so that they can be laced up like a woman's corset with ribbon. Here's a link of a bit of info and pictures of this latest trend:

This looks EXTREMELY painful. If you're a thin person, how is there even enough fat or skin to pierce? Not to mention the ribbon stuff being tied against your back or side. Yeow.

So I'm just wondering if you've seen this or gotten this done or if you haven't - what you think about it. It will be interesting for me to hear what you think. Some guys I've talked to have said it was hot to them, and some thought it was freaky. Maybe I've been living under a rock, but it just kind of surprised and shocked me; I've never seen anything like this, and it's now become an actual trend among young girls.

1,423 posts	Wow, you got an account just to say one thing? Oh well, that doesn't concern me. But I actually do like corset piercings. It's just not something I would do. I think it would be too much work having to clean and then having to watch for clothes and things catching on it. If you want to get it done, go ahead as long as you do your research and know what your stuff. It's your body. Do what you want with it and know what can/will happen. I've heard that corset piercings are prone to rejection (like most surface piercings), but aren't that expensive to have replaced. I still don't think it would be worth for me, but I know some people would be willing to put forth the time, money, and dedication for corset piercings. I'm just not one of them, but that doesn't mean I'm one of those people who think they're gross.

3,960 posts	my old friend's cousin had that done down her back she's really skinny but it didn't bother her much they had to change the ribbon every few weeks or so kind of gross = / i'd never get it done for fear of catching one on something and ripping it out

2,982 posts	I've never saw this before... It's extreme and it looks painful a bit, but I think it looks good. I would never get it done, but depending on the person who has it, I can look pretty hot.

1 posts	these are really cool and don't hurt a bit i have 8 permanant ones underneath my belly button (4 each side) but they were done wif plastic so my body didn't reject them and they don't stay laced permamantly either only for when you are showing them off because lacing them puts strain on them and they get pulled out!! but they only look gross and stuff if u don't actually have like a top or something that makes it look like it is supposed to be there i now buy tops to make it look like they help lace it up and one of them i can lace from the top of the shirt to the bottom of my piercings!!

1 posts	I actually have my ears gauged to 7/16 of an inch and my "snake bites" I am about to also get corset piercings on my sides. i do not find body piercings painful they use a needle that is hollowed out and is 3 times sharper than a razorblade. it goes strait through your skin like a knife through butter and can actually be really addicting

1 posts	i actually have this type of piercing but i got it done with micro dermal implants... it looks alot better when u dont have the ribbon in cause u dont have the rings sticking out of ur body... i was kinda scared to get this piercing done but i love to do new things that come out.... i have to say that alot of ppl dont like it at first but they do love it in the end.... ive gotten good feed back and horrable feed back from all my piercings so its just a jump that u have to take....
