| Actually - I'm 5'4 - so the long dresses can be hemmed, and the short ones would look fine. | 06-05-2003 21:46 singingsweetie | 8,389 posts

| Can you not return it? Where did you go? I went to a place that will register your dress, They will put the dress you bought in the computer and list what school(s) prom you will be attending. So if someone comes in and trys to buy your dress, they ask which prom they will be attending and if they say one of the same ones you said then they wont let them buy that dress. I think thats a very good thing for them to do.. it looks like its too late for you to do that now, better luck next time. SOrry that happened to ya tho... I dontknow what id do if i were you.

| My mom made my dresses too. Well heras a tip on shoes Just ware balatt slipers. They are comfetebul but still look nice.
I hate shoping for shoes i have wide feet so i need wide shoes wich are had to find. My feet are about a size six or seven lenthwise so th eshoes are skinny . AGH | 07-05-2003 18:25 Just_Jamie | 12,877 posts
| If you don't want to wear ballet shoes, try low heels that are easy to slip off.
I've got a birth defect in my ankles, and so can't wear heels for very long, but my dates were always taller than me, so I had to wear them, at least for pics - I just took them off the rest of the time. | 07-05-2003 19:15 rainbowgirl46 | 143 posts
| ah wow look at all your helpful suggestions! I might be having it altered a little and im paying major attention to my accessories and stuff. It happened because where i live, there isnt really anywhere to buy prom dresses so everyone kinda went to the same department store. But i'm tall and blonde and she is short with dark hair so ya know, it'll look different. I wish i was gonna more individual though but i dont wanna change the dress and i dunno if debenhams would take it back. also, the other girl says shes gonna change hers. Thanks for your shoe suggestions, i have some black shoes with real small heels, they have a rose on, like the dress
