hahahaha ballaholic i agree but i also think if you are women enough to open ur legs and have sex then you better be willing to suffer the result abortion is wrong in so many ways why kill a baby a living thing just cuz you made a mistake is it that babies fault no its urs if you dont want the baby give it up to someone who cant have one or wants one some people arent as lucky to have children and cry at a sight of a child cuz they know they wont ever have one why kill a living thing its wrong

Abortion is a difficult issue. At this point, I don't know what I believe. Here's what I think of both sides.

1. Pro-life: in being pro-life, this would force a woman to take a baby to term. After the baby has been delivered, she has two options:

Option 1: Keep the baby. Consequences: she is forced into a position of social vulnerability in our society. The "single mother." The "pregnant teen." Single mothers may not have a good paying job and even if they did, they have to support a child on a low income. They are forced into a lower social class and could possibly be stuck their for the rest of their lives, or depending on men, and hoping to God they always have a relationship so they have a place to live with their child. Because we live in a capitalist society, we'll place all the blame on her for the rest of her life - "if she worked harder, she'd make more money"; "if she kept her legs shut, she wouldn't be here"; "if she'd get serious about her life and go to school, she'd stop being such white trash." Teenage pregnancies also make the young woman have a difficult social life - "slut"...she'll probably fall off the face of the earth, not return to high school, and yet again we can blame the lower class woman for her own problems.

Do we consider how many girls are pressured into sex by our society? And who are not educated properly on sex for whatever reason? And why the pressure for the woman to take responsible action? When are we going to hunt down the fathers and demand they take responsibility? What if she's raped? Gonna get the rapist involved in pregnancy?

Option 2: Give it up for adoption...go through the complicated process of ensuring that the child has a good parent, or give it up blindly and hope for the best. Possibly be confronted by child in later years.

2. Pro-choice: In being pro-choice, the woman could choose to take the child to term, or she could choose to abort.

Consequences of abortion: Abortion also carries a social stigma. The nice thing about abortion is that it relinquishes the father's responsibility for the child.

Conclusion? The abortion issue, to me, demonstrates clearly the oppression of women. Whether she chooses to carry the child to term, or abort it, it does not necessarily benefit her as much as it benefits the rest of society.
